Landing curling, gymnastics and an official Belfast Marathon are among the sporting images captured in the photographic display.

A new photographic exhibition is set to open on Monday to mark the beginning of Prisons Week. The exhibition, which will be free to access to the public runs until Sunday 15th October.

Among the images on display will be landing curling at Magilligan Prison, gymnastics at Hydebank Wood College and an official Belfast Marathon in Maghaberry Prison.

Director General of the Northern Ireland Prison Service Beverley Wall said that it is important to recognise the impact of imprisonment and reflect on the needs of all those affected by prisons – prison staff, prisoners and their families, victims of crime and their communities.
